Yes, ’The Tea Trove’ located at the Sarat Bose Road gives one the opportunity to freshen up with their various types of ‘tea’, one of the common beverages of this country. People have always preferred ‘hot tea’, but The Tea Trove paves one to a new road, where one is welcomed with brand new tea delights coupled with ice!! ’Tea’ has got an opportunity to expose itself in a totally different style, through this very young, cool, amazing vegetarian tea parlour. Situated in a very busy street, it attracts the school and college crowd and of course the young generation.

The Tea Trove is a house themed tea parlor, first of its kind, which sets a new bench mark. It is very dimly lit, but one enjoys the ambience, fully combined with the rejuvenating ‘tea’. The walls have wallpapers which are colourful, giving a three dimensional effect. There are funny couplets and anecdotes on ‘tea’ printed on the walls, which adds to the ‘tea-reffic’ feeling! The place is not very large. It is basically divided into two halves with a glass and a flight of stairs being the partition. At one side there are 2-3 tables along with sofas and the most intriguing feature is a huge window. The window sill has been increased inside carved in such a way, where a bunch of friends can easily feel at home!

Coming to the main section, FOOD, the place serves both tea (hot / cold), coffee (hot / cold) and savory delights. The booklet menu (text version provided below) frames every tea with a snap. The items are named in a very creative manner, like ’Hunny Bunny’, ’Puritea Twist’, ’Tonick of Time’, ’Devil’s Will’ and many more. Devil’s Will is very different to taste. It is a mixture of tea, chocolate sauce, ice-cream and crushed ice, topped with whipped cream! One really feels devilish after enjoying this drink! The Tea Frappe is another drink which sweetens the taste buds. The classy version of the iced tea with natural peach syrup enlivens the vigor and the pita wrapped crunchy falafel roll is satisfying alright. There are tea alternatives and refreshments as well! The savory items are all veg, so “green” people, its surely your haunt! There are pizzas (hot/cold), sandwiches, pastas and one can create one’s own salad with their favorite toppings. The prices are on the higher side, but surely the tea parlor is worth visiting. A meal for Two Persons including food and beverages is approximately Rs. 600. The food and drinks are innovative and lip-smacking with an interior to keep you engaged. Wish you a ‘tea-reffic’ time with The Tea Trove!!
