HAKA is the ideal place for people who like to have a low-priced Chinese buffet meal. The food here has its own unique taste which is quite different from the Chinese Restaurants of Chinatown (Tangra). It is another restaurant of the Speciality Group, which are the owners of Mainland China. It also has a la carte menu, which has a few takers. The buffet menu has both good numbers of vegetarian and non-veg dishes. For a large group of persons over 10 or 15, it would be a good choice to go for buffet, where each one can have his / her food at their own choice of food from the buffet items, rather than to waste time in making a long list of orders going through the menu. The waiters are well mannered and if informed to them while placing an order, they even provide complimentary cakes and sing “Happy Birthday” songs for anyone who has a birthday. Alcohol and drinks are also available at fairly moderate price. Usually the non-veg buffet dinner menu, costing Rs. 350 (plus taxes) has more or less, the following items; however sometimes the dessert items are changed to some other:

The gigantic Food Court in Mani Square measuring 30,000 sq ft, which can accommodate 650 visitors and foodies at a time, has emerged as an attractive hangout zone and stylish eating destination in Kolkata. Mani Square Food Court Interiors

One has to deposit Rs. 25 to get a Mani Square Food Court card and provide some balance amount in cash to that card. Then you can use that card and purchase at any of the food counters. After that you can retain the card if you visit again or you can give that back to the cash counter and get back your available balance present in the card after purchases along with the extra deposit of Rs. 25. After placing an order, you have to get your food from that counter where you have ordered. The attendant at the counter usually calls you when your food has been prepared. Self-Service is the only disadvantage of food courts and don’t ever leave any of your belongings behind or unattended while you leave your seat to make an order.
