This 2 star boutique hotel maintains a furnished air-conditioned restaurant called Pepper Chino, and a tea bar called Camillia Tea Bar. It also has a pub / discotheque named The Basement, which is one of the most popular ones in South Kolkata. It possibly derives it’s name from its site, it is actually located at the underground basement of the hotel. This 60-seater has a glass-door entrance from the
main road i.e. Sarat Bose Road, so that one can easily reach the destination via a staircase leading down ways.  White Interiors & Blue Lights make up the nightclub like ambiance. Dim, cluttered and loud, there's no control over the crowd profile here. Stylish white soft spongy sofas are placed beside each white table though not all sofas have back rest which could be a problem for some. There are huge lcd screen playing fashion tv all times if there are no live Cricket or Football matches at any particular evening. Background music is good, though it play only latest English hits. With live performances being their focus, they combine classic and contemporary with every talent troupe in town. DJ usually starts from 9 pm and sometimes from 7 pm too on weekends. The Dance Floor is not that large & gets crowded with a handful of people and the ceiling being very low, anyone can easily reach it by raising arms during dance moves!

Apart from its bar featuring quite a great number of foreign & Indian liquors, the menu serves Indian, Chinese & Continental food. The Tandoori chicken was well prepared. Kebabs had not been marinated properly & lacked salt and were hard; Chowmein was too oily and tasteless. The waiters had a haughty attitude, though the kind Manager was quick enough to change the food after we complained. Some beers and Indian whiskeys were not available. Service was poor, as a lot time was taken for the ordered food to be served. Indian beers cost Rs. 160- 180 (Pint), whereas imported ones are prices at Rs. 250- 300 (Pint). The cost of food (without drinks) for two persons is approximately Rs. 800. It is a great place for youngsters to hang around with friends; if you just like to have a hot evening with Chinese starters accompanied by chilled drinks, with facilities of a dance floor with DJ, in a cool ambiance, then this is your ultimate destination!

    I have appeared in your blog through Google search where are great information about Hotel samilton. You have written very good and pictures placing style very wonderful. I love your blogging. These sites also usually offer the best costs that are lower than reservation directly at a Venice hotels web page. You should however read the terms and conditions for extra expenses or restrictions, such as your reservation being non-refundable.

    This place looks really nice. Ambiance is definitely relaxing and the food looks appetizing, something that will keep our nights out very interesting and memorable just like the restaurant and pubs listed in Trustmypaper review.
