Located just near to South City Mall, on the opposite side of Prince Anwar Shah Road, this small air-conditioned Chinese Restaurant has been there for a long time.
It has four-seater tables with both way sitting sofas. On a hot day, you might
like to sit inside their cool chamber, and enjoy a meal, however the decor is
below average and the ambiance is dull & shabby.
For appetizers
you may try Prawn Wafers, Fried momo, Gold Coin Chicken, Fried Dry
Chilli Chicken, Drums of Heaven
along with soups like Lung Fung or Chicken Sweet Corn.
The Chilli
Fried Prawn Balls (Pakora) had 8 pieces and stuffed with prawns and Maida
(Wheat flour) & cornflower. It was fried crisply from outside but they did
not soak the oil properly. The Hong Kong
Special Fried Rice was full of prawns,
egg, chicken & pork and was more than sufficient for two persons. For
persons who do not eat pork often, I would advise them not to take pork in
fried rice or noodles as they mix whitish pork fats along with pork meat.

The Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce was also good in quantity and had
shredded chicken dipped in sour gravy. For other dishes you could go for Szechuan Fish and Hong Kong Special Hakka Noodles. Service is good as the waiters
make good suggestion of food to guests and they serve it within 10 – 15 minutes
of order. The quality of the food has degraded over the years as all of their
dishes are a bit oily. They need to work on that. They should also improve on
their cutleries, menu card and interiors to attract customers who look for
hygienic eateries in Kolkata.
The
brighter side is that considering the quantity of food which they serve for a
plate, the price is comparably reasonable. A
complete meal for two persons will cost around Rs. 700.
