Well there are very few in Kolkata who haven't heard about Jimmy's Kitchen. Serving one of the best Chinese food for more than a decade, it is a favorite haunt for young and aged both. Situated near Kala Mandir on AJC Bose Road, it remains filled up in weekends and in most weekday evenings too. The Decor is simple and easy on the eyes. Sitting arrangement is pretty good with comfortable sofas and chairs. They also serve alcoholic beverages and the collection is quite varied.

Chinese Mixed Soup

The waiters are very experienced and hence the service is prompt. There are three separate menus for vegetarian items, non-vegetarian items and alcoholic beverages. I just dived into the non-vegetarian menu as soon as I got hold of it. There are a variety of soups to choose from. The Chinese mixed soup is exceptionally good being a clear soup full of prawns, pork, chicken and fresh vegetables. The seasoning is perfect and it prepares the palate for the next rounds. Szechuan Chilli Prawn

category for starters, they can be picked from the side dish category which is divided into prawn, fish, pork, crab and chicken. The dry preparations of these items serve as starters. The dry chilli prawn is very tasty and will win your heart. Juicy big prawns with onions and spring onions are utterly delicious. The crab part is a bit tricky since they serve only the claws and you may end up craving for more as they contain very less crab meat. The main course has rice, noodles, rice noodles or meifoon and noodle soup. There is a separate category for spring rolls, Chinese snacks and wantons.

Chilli Crab Claws

The chicken dishes vary from spicy to non spicy and they serve a good amount. The jimmy's kitchen special rice is full of goodness of prawn, chicken and pork topped with a poached egg. Very tasty and full of pork and prawn it is as good with a side dish as without it.

Beverages like soft drinks, mock-tails, and soda's are available in the wine menu along with alcoholic beverages. The service is prompt and food is served approximately within 15 minutes of placing the order.
