Le Coffee Crème is a newly opened Continental - Oriental café cum Hookah joint at the ground floor of a residential house opposite City Centre just beside Mehfil. The location is wonderful to appeal to the shopping crowd though it serves only Vegetarian dishes. The entrance is not right on the road but inside a pavement garage of the building. Right on entering, the small room decorated with stylish automobile photographs on colored wall papers with couches and small wooden tables can easily be mistaken for a waiting area to the real dining area. But it is actually just another room for serving guests like the other two interior ones: One lounge space to the left is neatly done up with pristine interiors, leather cushioned seating, fancy woodwork, Buddha statues, graphic wall paper, silk carpet, cute suspended bar counter. And another region for hookah smoking folks, which is straight ahead, having big LCD screen TV and wall sofas for cozy evenings.

It would definitely not be a place for a romantic date as the volumes of the live commentary from sports channels played on sound box is always kept too high. They should play soft music instead.

The Crostini comes on crusty bread with a jumble of mushroom topping and the grilled peppers add a zing to the regular sandwich. We ordered an American Corn Salt n Pepper, which was perfectly mixed with onions, spring onions & garlic and seasoned well. It was crunchy not soggy from oil. However according to what is mentioned on menu, garlic bread was with that dish, but they did not serve it. The house special layered Lasagna is a bit overdone and heavy on salt. The tossed Hakka noodles well cooked and tasty. We ordered Sundae Ice Cream for dessert which had Strawberry Crush and roasted cashews and raisins. If they claim Le Coffee Crème to be a café, then the Menu (provided below) should not have lacked numbers of dessert items, coffees and coolers. With only a handful of it on the list, and that too most of them were not available. On the other side round, if they want the place to look like a restaurant, they should serve glasses and cutlery plates, spoons or forks properly like a fine lounge should.

Service is at an average since the food came in pretty quickly, although the staffs were busy watching live cricket matches on the giant screen rather than attending guests. We had not asked for any packaged mineral water, but one of the staff insisted on keeping it at our table even though we did not want to take it. At the end of our meal, we asked them to take away the bottle, as we had not touched it even, but still they charged an unnecessary Rs. 40 on the bill. Apart from the Service Tax & VAT, they even charge a silly donation amount. One would not want to tip after such charges. A complete meal for two persons (without hookah) will cost around Rs. 800 (Inc. Taxes). The interiors of the café will definitely attract visitors but one might not visit this place a second time unless they improve the food quality and serve exactly whatever that is mentioned on the menu. Le Coffee Crème can only be a tempting & enthralling place for a group who want to crash on some flavored Hookah while cheering during IPL seasons or live Cricket matches.
